House keeping and catchup

The first book that I ever read that transported me out of this world, and into a place where the voices of those around me were nothing but the whispering of shades, was the book Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs By Judi Barrett illustrated Ron Barrett. I read it in second grade. Before I read it, I was an apathetic, inept reader, but a book about people who get there food as precipitation captivated my imagination and propelled me into the world of books.
